COVID-19 UPDATE -- October 27, 2020
In accordance with State of Maine guidelines, windows are open during church services. Also our whole-house fan will be on to keep the air fresh. (The whole-house fan brings air in through windows and exhausts it back outside.) With cooler weather, the heat is on now too. We suggest you come prepared with a sweater or jacket to wear during services. We will continue to monitor Maine guidelines for updates or changes.
We are pleased to say (by carefully following state guidelines) we resumed our church services on Wednesday June 3rd, 2020. Yay!
Here are some of the of the procedures we are following:
The Christian Science Reading Room at 440 Main Street, Norway has reopened:
Tuesdays, 1-4pm and Saturdays, 10am-1pm.
The Reading Room is Maine CDC compliant and requests that visitors wear a mask.
We unite with the prayers of the community for an end to the crisis.
Sunday Church Service*
All are welcome.
Enjoy a friendly welcome, music, hymn singing, readings from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, silent prayer, audible praying of the Lord's Prayer. The hour service always ends with a benediction -- that's Latin for a "good saying." We want you to go away blessed!
(Children and teenagers)
First lessons are the Commandments and the Beatitudes.
And of course, whatever is age appropriate.
Childcare is provided at all services for children too young for Sunday School or meetings.
